The Premier Consulting Organization at the University of Pennsylvania
Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club (WUCC) is the premier consulting organization at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. We provide students with the opportunities, resources, and community to thrive both socially and professionally.
WUCC's structure comprises of ten executive board members, 90 committee members, and over 2,000+ general body members. We have committees for Conference, Events, Marketing, Internal Development, Strategic Development, and Advisors. Advisors is the consulting branch of WUCC, providing pro-bono consulting services for local and national clients. Members work in teams and receive the opportunity to travel onsite to present their recommendations.
Through workshops, tutorials, and opportunities to consult local businesses, WUCC provides members with foundational skill sets for recruitment and consulting careers.
WUCC provides a point of access for students who are unfamiliar with consulting. The club's panels, speaker events, and conference provide members with exposure and information to the consulting industry.
Above all, WUCC aims to provide a community for students with a shared interest in consulting. WUCC facilitates networking amongst members and acts as a primary contact between consulting firms and members.
The Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Conference & Case Competition is the nation's leading collegiate consulting conference. Each year, we host over 200+ students from across the U.S. and Canada. Our general conference features recruitment presentations, company coffee chats, consulting panels, keynote speech, and a career fair with over 10+ participating firms. Our case competition provides a collaborative platform for students to explore creative and interdisciplinary solutions to some of the biggest problems facing the business world today.
Our Consulting Camp Series introduces students to the field of consulting. Key topics include what a typical day in consulting is like, the type of work that consultants do, and examples of previous projects that our panelists have worked on. We also walk through the more technical aspects of consulting, teaching students to apply fundamental frameworks and concepts to real-world businesses cases.
Throughout the year, WUCC coordinates with corporate sponsors to organize coffee chats, private dinners, career treks, office visits, case interview and resume workshops, and career fairs. These exclusive opportunities allow our members to meet with and learn more about your company.
In addition to these company specific opportunities to engage with our members, WUCC also hosts over 30 events throughout the year. Past events include panel discussions with current consultants, casing interview prep, and resume workshops. If you are interested in being involved with these events, WUCC is happy to work with your specific goals.
We recognize effective sponsorship will be highly specific. Whether you are looking to compile a resume book from our members or start a case competition on campus under your company name, WUCC is happy to work with you to develop and implement your vision.
